Following on from our earlier announcement, we’re excited to share a closer look at the planting design behind our RHS Chelsea 2026 trade stand.
Working alongside Gold Medal-winning designers Catherine Gibbon and Jenny Donnelly, the concept is now taking shape in a detailed and carefully considered planting plan. This plan maps out the precise positioning of every individual plant, along with their sizes, ensuring that each element works harmoniously within the overall design.
The planting scheme is inspired by a coastal countryside theme, reflecting the Cornish origins of our slate and the landscape that surrounds our business. Think soft, naturalistic planting with texture, movement, and a slightly windswept feel—capturing the character of coastal environments while still feeling calm, balanced, and inviting.
For Chelsea, planting needs to make an immediate impact. Unlike a typical garden plan—where plants are spaced to allow for long-term growth—the design here is intentionally much denser. This creates a full, immersive display from day one, delivering the richness, texture, and depth expected at the show.
We’ve included an image of the planting plan to give a glimpse into the level of detail involved. It’s a real balance of creativity and precision, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the vision come together on paper.
Vicki and I have absolutely loved designing this stand and collaborating with Catherine and Jen. Their expertise and creative approach have made the process both inspiring and genuinely enjoyable.
With each step forward, we’re getting closer to bringing this vision to life at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We’re really looking forward to the show and to sharing the finished space with visitors.
Most importantly, projects like this are another step towards what drives us every day—helping our customers realise their own garden dreams.
